GObookings® Privacy Statement

This privacy statement applies specifically to the GObookings® hosted system provided by GObookings® Systems. Questions regarding this statement should be directed to GObookings® Administration.

GObookings® will not use data inputted on their system in ways different from what is disclosed in this statement. GObookings collects information from users at various points on our system. When a booking is made some users may leave information and a message. The content is seen by the owner of the booking system and the user.

Billing Details
We request information from subscribers to the system on our registration form. Here a subscriber must provide contact information (like name and address) and financial information (like credit card number, expiration date). This information is used for subscription billing purposes or subscriber/customer billing arrangements. If we have trouble processing an order, this contact information is used to get in touch with the subscriber.

Session Cookies
This session cookie is a piece of data stored on the user’s hard drive containing information about the user movements whilst using the system. Our session cookies are also used for security purposes to protect your information. Usage of a session cookie is in no way linked to any personally identifiable information while on our site. Once the user closes their browser, the session cookie action simply terminates. For instance session cookies enable the user to not have to log in a password more than once, thereby saving time while on our site. If a user rejects the session cookie, they will not be able to use our site.

Log Files
We log IP addresses for security reasons and log file/system activity to administer the system.

Sharing
If you are a user making a booking, GObookings® never shares your personal or booking details with anyone except the subscriber with whom you request a booking. Each subscriber only learns the information particular to your bookings with them. The user may be asked to update or add to their details at the time of booking. The purpose of providing this information to the subscriber is to enable them to provide a more personalized experience to users using our site. However we have no access or control over how subscribers will use this information.

Security
GObookings® takes every precaution to protect our users’ information. When users submit sensitive information via the website, the information is protected both online and off-line. The system data transmission is protected by 128/256 bit SSL encryption at all times. While on a secured page the lock icon will appear on Web browsers such as Firefox and Microsoft Internet Explorer. Alternatively this may also appear as https in the address bar. While we use SSL encryption to protect information online, we also do everything in our power to protect user-information off-line. All of our users’ information, is restricted in our offices. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, our billing clerk or a customer service representative) are granted access to personally identifiable information. All staff have signed Confidentiality Agreements. Additionally our servers that we store personally identifiable information on are kept in a secured data centre environment. PCI vulnerability scans are carried out regularly.
GObookings application web and database servers are housed in the NEC Polaris data centre and managed by Emantra.
Emantra provides a high level of security which includes the Federal Government’s Defence Signals Directorate (DSD) Certified Internet Gateway for hardware, software and documentation.

To provide SMS services, GObookings use Australasia's largest commercial SMS provider, MessageMedia, an Australian based company with approximately 8000+ business clients including Australia's four major banking institutions, government and healthcare entities. They provide a business-grade SMS service based on a high availability resilient/redundant platform. MessageMedia uses encryption technology to safeguard customer data integrity. MessageMedia only use Tier-1 Australian carriers to ensure all our clients' phone numbers and message content is not passed to unreliable or potentially fraudulent third-parties. MessageMedia only uses Australian Tier-1 carriers, such as Telstra and Optus.

Emails
We send all new subscribers a welcoming email to verify password and username. Established subscribers will occasionally receive information on upgrades and modifications available. We also occasionally send the user site and service announcement updates. Subscribers are not able to un-subscribe from these emails, which contain important information about the service. We communicate with the subscriber to provide requested services and in regards to issues relating to their account via email or phone.

Correction/Updating Personal Information:
If a subsciber’s personally identifiable information changes (such as your post code/zip code), or if a subscriber no longer desires our service, that subscriber’s personal data provided to us is removed. This can be done at the subscriber system Administration Page.

Changes
GObookings may make changes to its privacy policy from time to time. You should check our privacy policy from time to time to see if we have made any changes to it. A link is provided on the System Administration Page.

As Required By Law:
The Licensor acknowledges that the Licensee data entered into the system remains the property of the Licensee. The Licensor will treat the Licensee’s data as confidential and comply with the Licensor’s Privacy Statement displayed at www.info.gobookings.com/privacy.htm and/or from a link within the Licensed Software. The Licensor will not disclose the data to any person except where required by law or a valid direction of a government agency, in which case the Licensor will advise the Licensee of the order or direction and consult on the information to be disclosed prior to disclosure. The Licensee agrees to pay the Licensor’s reasonable costs of compliance on provision of receipts. This clause shall survive the termination or expiration of this Agreement.

Privacy Act and Other Laws
You shall at all times indemnify and hold harmless GObookings and its officers, employees and agents ("those indemnified") from and against any loss (including reasonable legal costs and expenses) or liability reasonably incurred or suffered by any of those indemnified arising from any proceedings against those indemnified where such loss or liability was caused by you breaching Australian law, or the laws of the country in which you are operating the GObookings software system. This clause specifically includes current Privacy Acts.
