GObookings Security

Summary: As GObookings are currently providing services for government, medical, corporate entities and the business world in general, the issue of data security and privacy is very important and GObookings have implemented a combination of high-level security measures to protect your data. In addition to usual safeguards GObookings use firewall technology and 128/256-bit SSL encryption technology. PCI vulnerability scans are carried out regularly.

This means when you or your customers use the system you are protected at all times by 128/256 bit SSL encryption which is normally only used when it comes to processing credit cards online. You will see the padlock security icon appear in your browser window on all pages within the GObookings system or https:// in the address bar. All credit card transactions are protected by the same 128/256-bit SSL encryption and are processed through an international standard payment gateway, ensuring maximum data protection.

To provide SMS services, GObookings use Australasia's largest commercial SMS provider, MessageMedia, an Australian based company with approximately 8000+ business clients including Australia's four major banking institutions, government and healthcare entities. They provide a business-grade SMS service based on a high availability resilient/redundant platform. MessageMedia uses encryption technology to safeguard customer data integrity. MessageMedia only use Tier-1 Australian carriers to ensure all our clients' phone numbers and message content is not passed to unreliable or potentially fraudulent third-parties. MessageMedia only uses Australian Tier-1 carriers, such as Telstra and Optus.

GObookings takes every precaution to protect our users information. When users submit sensitive information via the website, the information is protected both online and off-line. The system data transmission is protected by 128/256 bit SSL encryption at all times. While on a secured page the lock icon will appear on Web browsers such as Firefox and Microsoft Internet Explorer. Alternatively this may also appear as https in the address bar. While we use SSL encryption to protect information online, we also do everything in our power to protect user-information off-line. All of our users? information, is restricted in our offices. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, our billing clerk or a customer service representative) are granted access to personally identifiable information. All staff have signed Confidentiality Agreements. Additionally our servers that we store personally identifiable information on are kept in a secured data centre environment.
GObookings application web and database servers are housed in the NEC Polaris data centre and managed by Emantra.
Emantra provides a high level of security which includes the Federal Government’s Defence Signals Directorate (DSD) Certified Internet Gateway for hardware, software and documentation.
